other handicaps. We are committed to educating the public, our adoptees and volunteers about the Yorkshire Terrier Breed. We pledge to provide a loving
and caring environment and keep the
pup safe until a forever

Our focus is not finding the right pup
for a home, but finding the right home
for each and every pup.

A Better Life Animal Rescue, Inc.
is a no-kill foster home-based rescue organization located in Burke County,
North Carolina.
We do not operate an animal shelter.
We rely on volunteer foster families to
provide temporary care for rescued dogs
and cats until they can either be matched
with loving, responsible, permanent
adoptive families or until lost pets can be reunited with their own loving families.
Our mission is to reduce pet
overpopulation and to save
dogs and cats whose lives are in jeopardy because of neglect, mistreatment,
illness, injury or ignorance.

  No Kill Shelter
at Brother Wolf, we rescue dogs and puppies, cats and kittens from local shelters, owner surrenders, and those
who are strays. By taking these animals
into our homes, we are able to provide
them with a loving, nurturing
environment where we can learn
a lot about a particular pet.
We get a good feel
for what an ideal family would be for a particular pet, because we spend so much time with them.  In addition to all the emotional care we provide, all of our pets are treated for any pre-existing medical conditions, such as heartworms or broken bones (just to name a few), and are spayed/neutered.
To make our community a better
place by serving as an advocate for companion animals.
Our vision for the future is that
no adoptable animal will be
euthanized in Catawba County,
and that animal cruelty and
inhumane treatment of
animals will cease to exist.

Focused on saving lives of
homeless animals.
Asheville Humane Society contracts with Buncombe County and the City of Asheville
to operate the Buncombe County Animal Shelter. On 9/14/10, the Animal Care
Campus for Buncombe County opened.
The campus is comprised of two, separate
facilities: the Buncombe County Shelter
and the Asheville Humane Society Adoption Center. Asheville Humane Society transfers adoptable animals into their immediately adjacent Adoption Center through the
Walk of Life which connects both buildings. Asheville Humane Society Adoption
program is responsible for saving
the lives of more than 1,500 dogs and cats annually through adoption placements.

Full Moon Farm Paws to Read

Full Moon Farm is an organization
dedicated to the well being of the
wolfdog (wolf hybrid)
.

Situated on 17 beautiful mountain acres in Black Mountain, NC, we operate as a federally recognized 501(c)(3)
not-for-profit organization for abused and refused wolfdogs who find themselves in need of love, shelter, and care through no fault of their own.

Full Moon Farm provides a safe haven for animals that cannot be placed into homes for the rest of their lives.  Our rescued wolfdogs come from animal control agencies, closed breeding situations and occasionally, an owner in crisis.
We evaluate each animal upon intake
and work with them at their level of comfort.  Some animals are "hands off"
and we respect their choice, as well as
that of the animals that crave human interaction.  Our goal is to enrich the lives
of the residents, allowing them to reach their highest potential.
Your support by donation or sponsorship makes our task possible.

Though they may be abused or neglected, homeless because of death or divorce, they are all God's Creatures and worthy of a lifetime of respect. We are here to serve them.
